The Belgian runner vs. the European runner

Delving deep into the runner’s mind, ASICS’ ‘Reasons to Run’ survey delivers some intriguing results on the diversity between nations when it comes to why and how people run. These differences are down to the fact that the runner’s mindset profile greatly resembles their country’s disposition. The hard-working Germans, for example, are diligent runners who never give up and run the furthest distance with the greatest speed, while the ‘joie-de-vivre’ French run mainly for fun and only when the weather suits them. The down-to-earth qualities of the Dutch mean they are not bothered by anything while running in contrast to the passionate Spanish who are easily irritated and concerned about what others think of them.
