In both Britain and Spain, 18% of runners are bothered by funny remarks other people make about them (this is way above the average 12% of other countries). British women in particular (23%) admit to being victims of such verbal insults.

On top of this, the British (22%), and especially British females (33%), are the highest percentage of runners who feel unsafe and do not like to run alone. The Dutch and German runners, on the other hand, are at the other end of the scale, with just 11% feeling at risk.

Who feels least bothered?

With their down-to-earth personality, the Dutch are the runners who are least bothered by anything during running. This is contrast to the Spanish, who with a passionate character, are bothered by many things.
